ESP MENA is celebrating a successful year of collaboration with its partners in Libya.

Last year saw the completion of a modernization of ESP’s workshop in Libya, which has included the upgrade and replacement of much of the equipment. The workshop, situated at the Edgo Services Center in Suani Road, Tripoli is one of three certified workshops in the country and the only one with the capacity to maintain and repair Baker Hughes’ electrical submersible pumps.

Staff at Camco Oilfield Services, Gunny Oilfield Services and ESP Ltd, Edgo’s companies in Libya, have transported a significant amount of vital equipment and supplies to the National Oil Corporation’s Crises Committee.

ESP Ltd recently hosted a team from Akakus Oil Operations (AOO) for a technology day at the ESP service center in Tripoli. The team were given a tour of the service center’s state-of-the-art technical capabilities, which can repair, assemble and test ESP equipment in the country. The ESP team also presented the new Baker Hughes technology used in their operations including Zenith gauges, flexible pumps and variable speed drives. The day concluded following an in-depth technical discussion about the types of technical solutions that can be used to deal with challenges faced by AOO in their fields.
